PROFILE
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) aiming to educate youth about HIV/AIDS, promote voluntary blood donation, and reduce stigma. Its primary objectives are to reduce new infections through peer education, instil values of service, and promote healthy lifestyles
Aims and Objectives:
- HIV/AIDS Awareness & Education:To spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, including prevention, care, and treatment, specifically targeting high-risk groups and youth.
- Preventing New Infections:To reduce new infections by fostering safe and healthy sexual behaviours among students and increasing their risk perception.
- Voluntary Blood Donation:To motivate young people to become voluntary blood donors, ensuring a safe and adequate supply of blood to those in need.
- Reducing Stigma:To reduce discrimination and stigma associated with People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) by fostering a better understanding and promoting empathy.
- Developing Peer Educators:To build the capacity of students as peer educators, change agents, and leaders who can influence others in their community on health issues.
- Promoting Healthy Lifestyles:To instill values of service and encourage healthy behaviours, including awareness about drug addiction and healthy living.
